SNAP is at risk - we need your voice!
Congress is in the final stages of negotiating the federal budget, and unfortunately, cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) are included. While details are still being finalized, SNAP could be slashed by as much as $230 billion. For Minnesotans, that could mean a loss of over $200 million in SNAP benefits each year. These cuts come at a time when food shelves are already overwhelmed by record-breaking demand. Any reduction in SNAP will have real consequences, pushing more families into food insecurity and deepening an already urgent crisis.
We need your help to protect SNAP. Cuts are likely, but your voice can influence how deep they go. Whether you rely on SNAP, operate a food shelf, or own a business impacted by local SNAP spending. Congress needs to hear from constituents about the importance of SNAP in their communities.
